SKINNY JEAANS FROM MOROCCO

The thing we love about TheBloggersTalk is Diversity. We love how each person is unique in their own way. That is why we want you to meet Skinny Jeans from Morocco. Three unique girls. They are bonded by blood, but each of them is different. Although the three of them share the blog Skinny Jeaans, they all have different tastes when it comes to their style. They are sisters, partners and friends. A relationship each girl would want to have with her sister(s).

Enjoy their lovely interview and don't forget to visit their blog

1. Introduce yourself and tell us about what you each do, where you live and where you’re from.

Yasmine, Malika & Hanae, more known as Skinnyjeaans. Three sisters based in Morocco, living under the same roof. Yasmine & Malika are Masters student, one in Human Ressources and the other in Risk Management and Hanae is a freshman in university.

2. Tell us about your goals in the future and aspirations.

Our goal, away from blogging, is for each one of us to work in the field where she was graduated then, why not, be Involved in the Moroccan fashion industry and try to Develop it. As for the blog, We would like to makea brand out of it, We Have not decided yet which way we're gonna take, wether it's clothing, accessories orshoes. We are still figuring out what fashion in Morocco needs.

3. Tell us about how you started blogging and how you approach it. (Maybe you all could tell us how you decided to start the blog together as sisters?)

We started blogging in January 2011, the idea started with Malika & Hanae who was visiting blogs and the famous website where fashion meets "Lookbook", then Malika decided to start a blog mainly because there was a lack of blogs in Morocco, not only our country but also in our city. Also, at that time, the idea of having a fashion blog was new and since we always had a passion for fashion, we were well placed to start a blog and believed that we could bring something fresh and new to this industry in Morocco. After a few posts, Yasmine joined us as a guest and our visitors were liking the idea, it changed Yasmine's point of view about blogging and it gave a unique touch to our blog since we were the first sisters to start a blog in our country.

4. What would be your definition of modesty?

Modesty is being capable of staying humble no matter what you achieve, it's decency of behaviour, speech and dress.

5. What is your vision about fashion and modesty?

Fashion can be related to modesty in a way that you don't have to wear expensive brands to look good or to call yourself fashionable. You can wear affordable clothes and still look stylish and fancy.

6. How do you all see yourself in five years? (projects, dreams, job or personal life)

As we mentionned earlier, each one of us wants to have a job in the field where she was graduated then why not be involved in the fashion industry in Morocco, although, you cannot live from fashion here. We might create a brand but we're taking baby steps, considering we still don't have the recquirments for this nor the experience. You can say that we want to do it right.

7. How would you each characterize your style?

Each one of us has her own style since we have different ages. Hanae like to dress in a urban way, she's more daring and bold in her choices. Yasmine is more classic and chic but always with a trendy touch. Malika is between the two, she changes her style very often, she can be sporty sometimes, minimalistic chosing neutral colors most of the time and classy in special occasions. The most important thing is that we are always on trend but never a slave for fashion.

8. What item(s) of clothing do you always find yourself gravitating toward?

Yasmine keeps running to her bicker jacket from Zara, Hanae to her Zara black skinny jeans and Malika to her H&M gray sweater.

9. If we were go shopping tomorrow and you had to take us to the best shop/store you know, where would we go. And why?

If we were outside Morocco, Hanae would run to Brandy Melville because they sell clothes that make you look effortlessly chic. Malika would run to Urban Outfitters because of their crazy prints. If we were in Morocco, Zara would be our first stop.

10. Is there something you hate in fashion or in trends? Or is there something one of you hate in fashion or in trend, that the other like?

Lately, there is this trend called bio sandals. We do not approve in any way and we do not see ourselves wearing them. They are old people's shoes, especially for Moroccans because they find them super comfy.

11. Are there any fashion icons or famous people whose style you admire?

Everyone in this world has a fashion icon that inpires him, Hanae admires Kylie Jenner's style, Yasmine is a big fan of Kim kardashian and Malika is a fan of ZoƩ Saldana. The three never made a fashion faux pas on red carpets, whether it's clothing, hair or make-up.

12. Give your fellow followers and others a fashion/ or life advice of your choice.

If it's a life advice: Believe in yourself, find out what you're good at and do it with passion and love.
If it's a fashion advice: Be different, dress well and inspire!
